1. From project set-up to marketing, including intellectual property management, technology transfer and the incubation of results or strategic, administrative and legal support, the ADRE team is at your service.
2. All study is concerned with ethical issues. The committees, commission, and ethics council were established and revised by UNamur in 2021 while taking into account the unique characteristics of the various sectors and specialties. They emphasise scientific integrity and experimentation (in the human, medical, and animal sciences).
3.The main library at UNamur is the Moretus Plantin University Library (BUMP). They give content in all forms of media and cover all the subjects that are taught. Around 800,000 books, 7,000 electronic journals, and multidisciplinary databases of bibliographical and text-based files are all present and correct in the library.
4. The university campus is located adjacent to other important cities like Brussels in Namur, the capital of Wallonia (the province of Belgium that speaks both French and English). Students enjoy easy access to the train station, residences, stores, theatres, and sporting venues.
5. There are many amenities on the UNamur campus, including a sports hall, a radio station, a choir, and community housing for students who are involved in the same social or cultural initiative. On-campus events include sports competitions, tournaments, and challenges, introductions to music or the visual arts, language classes, theatre performances, or concerts. In Namur, people enjoy life to the fullest.
6. Over 4,900 students are accepted into the UNamur’s six Faculties of Arts, Law, Economics, Social Sciences and Business Administration, Computer Science, Medicine, and Sciences, which offer 40 different programmes at the Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate levels. Its standing is based on the calibre of its instruction, the accessibility of its professors, and the availability of enough resources to give every student the best possible chance of success. These resources include small group work, preparation classes, introductions to study skills, online access to course materials, and personalised assessments.
7. The UNamur actively contributes to the social and economic development of the city and its surroundings through full integration. We develop weekend and evening educational programmes as well as lifelong learning initiatives, and we encourage relationships with neighbourhood economic partners. Both the public and private sectors can benefit from its knowledge and consulting services. Through continued cooperation with international organisations, these efforts reach well beyond the region or country borders.
8. Researchers from all five continents are welcomed each year at the University of Namur as part of the EURAXESS programme. The UNamur HRS4R strategy plan includes a welcome office for foreign researchers, special support for legal document procedure and accommodations, ongoing training in transversal skills, recruitment policies in compliance with the European Charter and Code for Researchers, and access to a child-care centre to balance family and professional life. Foreign researchers make up 22% of the research staff.
