The University of Warmia and Mazury confers postdoctoral degrees in six divisions and doctoral degrees in 13 different scientific fields. Students have the chance to hone their talents through the university’s research initiatives. The National Science Centre fully funds such research projects. The Academy of Agriculture and Technology, the Higher School of Pedagogy, and the Warmia Theological Institute were combined to form the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM), which was founded in September 1999. The University of Warmia and Mazury has 17 faculties and 65 areas of study. And every year, the University of Warmia and Mazury enrols more than 25,000 students. has already twice been recognised among 70 institutions as a student-friendly institution, in 2004 and 2008. Doctorate degrees may be awarded by the University of Warmia and Mazury in 16 faculties and 24 disciplines. UWM aims to improve university competition and appeal at all levels, but particularly on the global education market.
