University of South-Eastern Norway

The fourth-largest university in Norway is called the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN). It has 1,900 employees and educates over 17,000 students. We provide research, knowledge dissemination, and educational programmes that are focused on the business and professions. At USN, students have the option of studying full-time, part-time, on campus, or online. More than 300 bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes are available from us, including “business bachelor” and “industry master” degrees that combine academic study with paid employment. In eight subject areas, USN provides doctoral (PhD) study programmes. For those who may be looking for retraining possibilities or who wish to build on their current certifications, USN also provides a number of supplemental and additional education programmes. You will come across demanding academic programmes and cutting-edge teaching techniques that are intimately related to the needs of larger society and business. With campuses in B, Drammen, Horten, Kongsberg, Notodden, Porsgrunn, Ringerike, and Rauland, USN is spread out over two counties in Norway. Following the amalgamation of several former university colleges, USN was established. The University College of Buskerud and Vestfold and the University College of Telemark combined on January 1, 2016, creating the University College of South-Eastern Norway. On May 4, 2018, a royal decree conferred university status on the college. Rector Petter Aasen presently serves as the USN’s leader.
