Photography deals with a study of creating durable images by capturing them in a camera. The science behind it relates to reflection of other electromagnetic radiations. Photography as a field has no particular or fixed career and salary structure. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in the year 2015, the average earning of a photographer was recorded to be around $40,280.
The calculation of payment for a salaried photographer is based on the location of photography, and the reputation and area of specialization of the photographer himself. If you choose to work on a freelance basis, your salary would depend on the number and quality of assignments, called portfolio.
Bachelors’ course:
A number of institutes and universities offer certificate and diploma courses in photography, which open up gates of commercial photography organization. Some also offer it as three year integrated courses and subsidiary subjects. One can even opt for part time or full time professional courses and crash courses in photography, ranging from 7 days to 3 years in duration.
