Athlone Institute of Technology

1. AIT graduates enjoy excellent career prospects. According to our most recent graduate survey, just 13% of graduates were seeking employment six months after completing their studies.
2. Large number of internships. A large number of AIT’s programmes feature internships or practice placements, which give students an ideal opportunity to put into practice the material they are learning in the lecture theatre, while simultaneously building relationships with potential employers.
3. This highlights the range of support measures which are in place in Athlone, including a dedicated peer support system for first year students.
4. It is the first port of call for students who may have queries, challenges or problems during their time in the Institute. It pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming and strive to do our utmost to help students.
5. AIT libraries offer a variety of types of study areas. Students can choose to work quietly on your own at a study desk, individually at a PC, sit in a comfortable chair and read, or work with a group of students in one of our study rooms in the main campus library. Members are free to use any of our campus libraries regardless of their discipline.
