The youngest university in Western Australia is Edith Cowan University, or “ECU,” as everyone refers to us. It is also among the top 50-year-old young universities in the world. However, ECU’s youth has never prevented it from leaving its impact on the field of higher education. Graduates have given the university’s instruction a 5-star rating in the 2022 Good Universities Guide, an incredible fifteen years in a row. According to the government’s yearly QILT (Quality Indicators for Teaching and Learning) study, we have also been named Australia’s top public university for undergraduate teaching quality and skill development for six years in a row. More than 31,000 undergraduate and graduate students attend ECU. We also have one of Australia’s most diverse student populations, typically hosting 7,000 foreign students from more than 100 different nations. There are over 250 courses available for undergraduate and graduate students at ECU, the majority of which allow for the flexibility of online study. These courses range from the scientific to the creative. University teaching staff has a wealth of professional connections, and our courses are developed with input from the industry. As a result, our students can anticipate acquiring the knowledge, abilities, and self-assurance they’ll need to handle the obstacles of the workplaces of today and tomorrow.
