1. The Institute has an important role in driving economic and social development in the North West of Ireland. Relevant, effective Research and Innovation is a key element of this. We have a vibrant and productive research community, active in the undergraduate, postgraduate and professional research spheres.
2. Students and visitors to IT Sligo are struck by the friendly and informal atmosphere on campus. We have students from across Ireland and we have an increasing number of international visitors.
3. Knocknarea Arena – multi-purpose hall with two courts, Fitness centre with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and resistance equipment and free weights, recreation space. There is a fully floodlit gaelic pitch and two floodlit training pitches and an excellent soccer pitch on campus. These pitches are extensively used by the very successful college teams. They are available on a limited basis for hire by the external community.
4. There is also information on using library services and resources such as searching for information and accessing library material in both print and online formats, borrowing and renewing books, assignment and reference supports, booking study rooms online and using self-service facilities.
