The International Hellenic University was initially founded in 2005 as Greece’s first public university, offering three schools of instruction that were entirely in English. With campuses in Thessaloniki (Thermi and Sindos), Kavala, Serres, Drama, Katerini, Edessa, Kilkis, and Didymoteicho, the university was re-established in 2019. Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-largest city, is home to the university’s main campus. There are 33 academic departments and nine schools within the university. There are several schools there, such as the schools of geosciences, health sciences, design sciences, precise sciences, social sciences, engineering, economics and business administration, humanities, social sciences, and economics, and science and technology. Every programme at the University Centre of International Programmes of Studies is taught entirely in English. The centre is home to the schools of science and technology as well as the humanities, social sciences, and economics schools. A digital manufacturing and materials characterisation lab, molecular ecology/molecular biology labs, and virtual classrooms are all part of the university’s comprehensive infrastructure. Students can participate in the university’s many social clubs and extracurricular activities outside of the classroom. These include the foreign food club, yoga club, and language exchange group.
