The Swedish cities of Kalmar and Vaxjo are home to Linnaeus University, which provides a cutting-edge, superior education. The student life at the university is distinguished by a wide variety of engaging programmes and cultural and social activities. Vaxjo, which has been dubbed “the greenest city in Europe,” is encircled by lovely forests and lakes, while Kalmar is a quaint, mediaeval town that is exquisitely situated on the Baltic Sea. At Linnaeus University, international students can pursue undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees. Although Linnaeus University does not own any housing, it has agreements with nearby housing organisations to help some students find homes. With partners in more than 60 nations, Linnaeus University has a significant global presence. Around 2,000 international students from all around the world enrol in courses at Linnaeus every year. In order to support international students as they relocate to Linnaeus and provide them with knowledge about living in Sweden, the university runs a buddy programme whereby they are connected with Swedish students. In addition to promoting a network of clubs and organisations for students to join, the students’ union at Linnaeus University, or Linnéstudenterna, aims to guarantee that all students receive the finest education possible. Students have the option of joining sports teams.
