The Maria Curie-Skodowska University in Lublin is Poland’s biggest public university. We are a firmly established institution in the area, where we have acted as a cultural and opinion-forming force since 1944 and have significantly aided in the development of a knowledge-based economy. Our Alma Mater has produced about 260 000 graduates. The potential of UMCS in terms of science and research is expanding. We invest in infrastructure and the modernization of current facilities in addition to having sophisticated laboratories. The University is home to a cutting-edge Institute of Informatics, the Centre for Functional Nanomaterials at the Faculty of Chemistry, and the Media and Art Incubator, among other facilities. We developed the Analytical and Program Centre for Advanced Environmentally Friendly Technologies ECOTECH-COMPLEX with four research and scientific units. This facility has cutting-edge labs and top-notch technology, including high-field magnetic resonance. The European Commission presented the HR Excellence in Research Logo to UMCS. It affirms that, in accordance with European norms, we provide the greatest working environments for scientists, open hiring procedures, and suitable spaces for the advancement of science. By developing research and high-level education, as well as a contemporary approach to cultural and sport popularisation, UMCS has created a holistic university that promotes the region. This capital includes scientific, didactic, organisational, and social capital.
