National Public Service University

The National University of Public Service (NUPS) is a unique higher education institution that offers in-service training and executive leadership training for public servants as well as BA, MA, and PhD programmes for students aiming for a career in the public service in the spirit of lifelong learning. For the purpose of facilitating knowledge transfer on a national and international scale, NUPS’s aim is to serve as a liaison between the government, institutions of higher learning, research labs, and for-profit and nonprofit organisations. This cutting-edge research and education collaboration also involves staff, faculty, and student mobility, which is prioritised in the institutional development plan, and participation in worldwide networks. The contacts started by NUPS’s legal forebears and membership in international organizations—both significant facets of the ministries’ foreign affairs policies—are the foundation of the organization’s current international network. In order to facilitate programme growth, student, faculty, and staff mobility, as well as knowledge transfer and the development of research capacity, NUPS is working to forge multifaceted international ties. Establishing a network specifically for public administration, law enforcement, and military sciences that allows seamless credit transfer in student exchange programmes and outcome-focused academic/staff mobility is a primary aim for NUPS. The university’s administration makes sure that the legal framework and surrounding circumstances support a culture of lifelong learning and academic, professional, and student mobility. By 2020, it is intended that 2 out of every 10 students will have finished courses overseas.
