Oslo Metropolitan University

Located in Oslo and Akershus, Norway, Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) is a public university. The university was founded in 2018, making it the second-youngest institution of higher education in Norway. The university has four faculties, including those for the arts, social sciences, technology, and international studies as well as health sciences. A variety of research institutes and centres are also present, including the National Center for Multicultural Education, the School of Management, the Centre for Welfare and Labor Research, and the Work Research Institute, among others. Although Norwegian is the main language of instruction at the institution, some courses are also offered in English, German, and French. The institution is still committed to sustainability and offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a variety of sustainability-related fields, such as energy and environment in product design, international development and education, and international social welfare and health policy. Additionally, a variety of green and sustainable practises are promoted on campus, such as using biodegradable cutlery, eco-labeling buildings, and encouraging eco-friendly transportation. The Learning Support Center offers guidance and workshops in academic writing to students.
