One of Poland’s top universities, Poznan University of Technology (PUT) is a significant higher education facility in Greater Poland (Wielkopolska). PUT, which was founded in 1919 and has a history of more than 100 years, is a great example of how tradition and a contemporary approach to learning and research can coexist. Poznan University of Technology now has nine faculties and offers a wide range of programmes that are tailored to the demands of the domestic and international labour market. The Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research (CESAER), a grouping of the top technical colleges in Europe, admitted Poznan University of Technology as a member in 1995. The European University EUNICE – European Commission initiative will be led by Poznan University of Technology starting in 2020. The main objective of EUNICE (European University for Customized Education) is to create a common European University of the future. EUNICE hopes to facilitate a change from traditional to customised education through inter-university mobility and to offer high-quality digital learning in close partnership with business. But to outperform the competition, you need more than simply a top-notch degree from a reputable university. In this hyperconnected world, students who choose to study abroad may also advance personally and professionally and become global citizens.
