Near a park and the Stockholm City Library, near Vasastan, is where you’ll find the main school building. It’s a stunning structure with a stunning entrance. Due to the size of the door, I wasn’t sure if this was the proper entrance the first time I had to step inside. Once inside, you can see the enormous atrium where everyone is typing and talking about group projects. Smaller class rooms (which aren’t particularly attractive), larger ones, and the aula are all present (which is definitely very pretty). Additionally, the library is like something from a Harry Potter book. The school’s student organisation, SASSE, occupies the whole basement floor. Numerous committee rooms are available, but more importantly, there is a tavern and a sort of club. Numerous events are planned here. And some memorable gatherings. I’m now enrolled in my first year of the CEMS Master of International Management/MSc in International Business programme. You cannot select your own classes during your first year because they are all required. I had no problem with that because it kept everyone in my class together and I was confident that the courses had been well chosen. Other courses were more quantitative, while others focused on culture, behaviour, and “soft skills.” Group projects are a big part of every course. I had to really get used to this, especially given that the groups were made specifically for you. But dealing with various cultures, tongues, and personalities teaches you a lot about how to function well in a group setting. I’ve been busy writing my thesis lately, as you might have seen on the Instagram stories these past few weeks. You get to choose your own topic and write one in pairs in this course. Even while research isn’t necessarily my favourite activity (I prefer whatever I can use to improve my life right away far more..), it’s been going rather well so far. Hoping for a quick completion.
