There are more Gator Statues on UF’s campus than statues of people in the city of Gainesville. UF Marching Band performed at the 2012 London Olympics. 85 percent of undergraduate students use Recreational Sports each year. They also have two times the national average of inventions produced per dollar invested in research. Florida has the longest coastline (1,197 statute miles) in the contiguous United States, with 825 miles of accessible beaches to enjoy. UF is recognized nationally and around the world as a leader in academic excellence, both on-campus and online. College is important for many reasons, including long-term financial gain, job stability, career satisfaction and success outside of the workplace.
