The University of Stavanger was founded in 2005 and is situated in Stavanger, Norway. The fourth-largest city in Norway, Stavanger is situated on its southwest coast. The University of Stavanger offers more than 1,800 courses and over 300 study programmes at the undergraduate and graduate levels in its six main colleges. The performing arts, social sciences, educational sciences, and humanities, as well as the University of Stavanger Business School, are among these faculties. Postgraduate programmes can be pursued full- or part-time and last one to four years. They can take the form of a diploma, master’s degree, or PhD. Social work and welfare, music performance, applied data science, prehospital critical care, and many other topics are covered in postgraduate courses. Students may also participate in the university’s inbound and outbound international exchange programmes, which provide them the chance to travel, experience other cultures, and make new friends. Past participants have visited Italy, Finland, the United States, Australia, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. It can be taken for one or two terms. Students can tour the city’s ancient and vibrant waterfront homes, also referred to as “Fargegata” or “the colour street” by residents. Gamle Stavanger, the city’s oldest neighbourhood, includes a variety of art galleries, local stores, and old-fashioned wooden houses.
