The public university of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country is called the University of the Basque Country. On Spain’s northern shore is where this region is situated. The University of the Basque Country is a bilingual institution that was established in 1980. (Spanish and Basque are its official languages, and more and more courses in English are offered every year). Three campuses—one for each of the three historical provinces or territories—are home to its 20 faculties and schools. The Campus of Biscay is the largest. Bilbao, the Biscayan region’s capital, is the location of the famed Guggenheim Museum. The Campus of Araba is the smallest and is centrally located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the administrative centre of the autonomous community. The Campus of Gipuzkoa is mostly based in San Sebastian, the most well-known tourist attraction in the Basque Country. A wide number of degrees are available at the University of the Basque Country, including those in experimental sciences, engineering, humanities, health sciences, economics, the arts, and architecture. It offers 200 postgraduate programmes in addition to 70 undergraduate ones.
