Another of the benefits of studying in Bulgaria is the affordable education. The fees at Bulgarian universities are comprehensive. They are not necessarily based on nationality, rather on the language and admission to the program. Bulgarian-taught programs are most affordable. But for those, well, you have to be able to speak Bulgarian. Most universities offer a preparatory language year for international students. The living expenses contribute considerably to the the total cost of attendance of a university. In Bulgaria you can enjoy great quality of life at relatively low cost of living. For example, shared university accommodation can cost as low as 35 € per month (and that includes utilities).
